Summary of Work

STRENGTHS:

  • Budgeting. This project was the largest budget I had ever been granted, and I was able to keep my many materials purchases intentional and smart in order to come in under budget.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration. I had to fabricate 5 Scenes that were meant to merge the LED Wall environment and the real world, and I worked closely with the environment designers in that process.

STRUGGLES:

  • Making these scenes, mostly set in natural environments and re-created on a stage, feel real was a challenge. Admittedly, I was not always successful.

  • Team Management. Despite having the largest team I’d ever managed, I wasn’t very good at delegating, and ended up taking too much work onto myself. Therefore, some of the environments came out lacking.
