Summary of Work

STRENGTHS:

  • Leaning into a cohesive palette across sourced props and props intrinsic to the location. This was largely aided by the fact that I was able to be present for the location scout.

  • Team Management. This was my first time having PA’s as an Art Director, and I believe I did a good job in coordinating everyone so that we could most effectively spread our attention.

STRUGGLES:

  • Making this large, communal space still feel opulent, but for one person rather than the 20 that usually studied here.

  • Time Management. Due to concern over rights, a lot of time was spent meticulously turning books with prominent spine titles around, pages-out, and trying to make that look natural enough that no one would notice.
