Summary of Work

STRENGTHS:

  • Leaning into a cohesive palette across sourced props and props intrinsic to the location. I also was able to incorporate this palette into the wardrobe

  • Attention to Detail. Shooting in a real convenience store meant I had to be paying close attention to the shots and making sure we were avoiding any issues with other brands’ copyright.

STRUGGLES:

  • Time Management. Since we were playing back footage on a monitor in real time, I should’ve tested the monitor before I got to set to ensure it worked. (Spoiler alert: it did not) We were able to get it working eventually, but it did eat up a lot of time on set.

  • Vision. While the director’s vision clear vision was helpful in some instances, we often had differing creative visions often and little space was left for compromise.
